Project .. Preamplifier a GasFet 144 MHz

Preamplifier for 144 MHz low noise: uses the GasFet MGF1302 with tuned input circuit. Practical implementation: L1 coil 5 turns of 2mm silver wire in air with internal diameter of 10mm, length approximately 18mm: T1 transformer, 0.2mm enamelled wire, 5 turns of double wire wound on a Neosid F100 toroid. Particular attention to the soldering of the GasFet, taking the usual precautions to avoid electrostatic discharges: the 820 pF capacitors must be disk or trapezoidal to be soldered between the PCB and the sources of the GasFet. For calibration in the absence of professional instrumentation we will have to adjust the 100 Ohm trimmer for a drain current of 10mA: the trimmers and the coil spacing for the greater output signal.
